Botox For Younger Looking Skin

Everyone wants to age gracefully, right? What that looks like for each person might be different, but we can all agree that we want to hold on to our health and youthfulness as long as possible. At Surya, we place a high priority on health from the inside out. After all, we only get one body in this life - and we need to treat it well. Lifestyle factors greatly impact how well we age, and that includes how we look. But eventually, we will all start to see those nagging signs of aging, like fine lines and wrinkles. Many of our patients want younger-looking skin, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! That’s why we’ve added medical aesthetics like Botox to our treatment offerings.

What Is Botox?

Botox is a type of anti-aging treatment that’s made from the botulinum toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. But, don’t let that scare you. The amount used in the formulation of Botox is small and well-controlled. When injected, it temporarily paralyzes the muscles in the injection area, which prevents them from moving to create those fine lines and wrinkles. Botox has been around a long time and has an excellent safety profile. Most people tolerate it well, and it’s probably the closest you can get to immediate results. We most commonly use it on the forehead, between the eyebrows (the 11s) and for crow’s feet on the outside of the eyes. It takes just a short 15 minute visit, and you’ll be on your way to younger looking skin.

How Long Does It Last?

Since Botox is temporary, you may be wondering how long it lasts (or how often you have to get it done). Most people will see visible results for 3-4 months, but people metabolize it differently. Subsequent treatments can actually last longer.
